Usability.

Well as some of you guy’s that knew me in Michigan could have figured out, now I’m totally into the Usability issue, an issue that who would’ve thought I’ll touch, I mean since I was the IDEARTTE dude, who in its times loved and defended flash as the future of Web and now instead of the entertaining animated thing I went to the simple and clean interface of the user friendly Web LOL… Anyways as time changes things, so do we (slaves of the internet) ohhh mighty lord!!! lol, now the BOOM it’s Web 2.0 and as a developer and graphic designer (especially focused on Web) how can I let it pass by? without riding the baby…

As always there’s some guru dude to help us out in this case it would be Mr. Jakob Nielsen father of Web Usability and who practically created the term in the Web world, even thought it all ready existed in software development. It wasn’t until Jakob’s first book that we got to know that usability was an issue for Web pages too.

Now I’ve decided to get more involved in the whole issue and even make my Bachelors degree thesis out of it. All that’s left is to kill myself with AJAX, CSS (in which I already got plenty of practice) and DHTML to meet my goal, I’ll keep all of you posted about the progress and the final result of usability of the web site and the users response, since we are a bit more picky down here in Venezuela than the average US user, it’s a cultural thing or I don’t know WTH but once I’ll figure it out I’ll post that too
