iPhone 3.0.1 activated phone with push overseas.
So, after updating to 3.0.1 on Saturday and using redsn0w to jailbreak with 3.0 IPSW I updated my phone to 3.0.1 but had issues with PUSH loosing my Push Fix that was working and also getting the YouTube “Cannot connect to Itunes”. So I decided today to restore again but after reading several times that using a USA AT&T SIM fix the Push issue with out needing the Push Fix pkg from cydia I thought I would give it a try. The result: IT WORKED EVEN being overseas.
1. I updated to 3.0.1 using Itunes, be aware if your device is JailBroken it will loose it so backup your cydia apps google how to do it if you don’t know.
2. put the AT&T SIM and use redsn0w to jailbreak using the 3.0 IPSW don’t worry you’ll keep the 3.0.1 Firmware.
3. After jailbroken open up Itunes again and when asked select SETUP A NEW PHONE (you’ll re-sync all your data contacts, music, apps so don’t worry about not restoring the data from the last backup). After this you’ll get a pop-up that says waiting for activation this may take sometime while this happens all your data should be syncing…
4. Open up Cydia you’ll add ultrasn0w’s repo more info here it will ask you to reboot before doing so put your local SIM in (remove AT&T’s) and reboot.
5. Your Done! on reboot your iPhone Should be activated and working perfectly including Push notifications and YouTube enjoy!

Hola, el internet es maravilloso, más aún por permitirnos compatir.ësta info ha sido muy valiosa para mi, me está pasando eso mismo, no tengo Notificación Push despues de instalar el IPSW 3.0.1. Estoy Pensando comprar ésta Sim Card por Ebay, para hacer lo mismo que tu hiciste. Crees que ésta pueda servirme, gracias de antemano: http://bit.ly/BeN3L

Hola Amandysha, si no tienes un SIM card no necesitas comprar uno sigue estos pasos:
1) Supongo que tienes tu iPhone Jailbroken si seguiste este tutorial. Si me equivóco debes hacerlo (Redsn0w o PwnTool)
2) Desinstala cualquier aplicación que requiera PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
3) Abre Cydia
4) Haz click sobre Manage > Sources > Add y Agrega el Repositorio http://cydia.iphoneil.net
5) Busca en Cydia e instala Push Fix
6) Reinicia y abre YouTube si te carga todo bien pasa el paso 6, si no desinstalalo en Cydia e instalalo de nuevo
7) Reinstala las aplicaciones que funcionan con Push

Gracias por la respuesta. Mira, casualmente anoche mismo instalé el PushFix, y hoy pasé buena parte del día instalandolo y volviendolo a desisntalar. Pero no me valió de nada, según me explicó un amigo el PushFix no funcionan con el IPSW 3.0.1 Sólo del 3.0 por ahora. Conoces alguién con 3.0.1 que le haya funcionado?, agradecería la info. Hola Amandysha,
Sorry por tardar tanto en responder he estado full, es falso yo se lo coloque a un amigo en 3.0.1 y funciono perfecto.
De todas formas si no puede la mejor solución seria que compres el SIM AT&T asegúrate q tenga linea porq un chip sin linea pues es igual a nada.
Sorry nuevamente esta vez por no poder ser de más ayuda, sin embargo el SIM con Linea seria la solución definitiva yo he activado así y no he tenido más problemas con push.
Nota: Recuerda tener el SIM de AT&T durante el proceso de actualización con redsn0w o Pwndtool luego se va a qdar en Waiting For Activation al momento de aplicar la actualización con el redsnow o Pwntool, instalas ultrasn0w reinicias y luego cambias el chip y listo te dirá Iphone Activado
